Position Purpose:

To ensure successful delivery from start-up to final handover Of Fast Track / Low Rise Mass Residential and Anxillary Steel And Concrete Structures Projects Within South Africa And Over Border Volunteer Basis) To B/U;

Year's Experience:

Min 10 yrs in Construction Management / QS-ing environment
Min 10 yrs experience of Site Construction practices
Min 10 yrs at least experience in recognised Big International or Large Local Construction Company
Age:

At least 30 years and older

Exposure / Experience:

Needs to have a breadth of experience in site management practices, specifically;
Need to have proven experience / track record in starting a Housing or General Construction project and completing in full;
Need to posses proven interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to form, manage and motivate a site team of all gender and race;
Demonstrate sound organizing-, communication-, financial-, programming- (short and long term) and planning skills, to apply in construction environment;
Ability to effectively manage all resources on-site, e.g. Materials, Plant, Staff and Sub-Contractors;
Need to posses an understanding of Contractual / Legal impact on site programme and finances;
Complexity to manage 1- (one) big site effectively (proven track record);

Computer Skills:

Needs to be fully computer literate, at least full functionality in MS Outlook and Internet skills
An advantage will be a good working knowledge of Excel, CCS (Programming) package;

Other Requirements / Skills required:

Mentoring - Mentoring of young site engineers, allocated to him or her
Mobility - willingness to travel extensively within RSA and Rand Monetary Area. Over border (volunteer basis)
Personal Skills - Ability to function independently, display initiative and ability to make decisions at high level, negotiation skills
Diversity Skills - Ability to work across racial boundaries within International company

Qualification:

Minimum B. Tech- / B. Sc Degree in Construction Management / Building
