11572 District Services Coordinator Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) is one of the largest electricity delivery and natural gas companies in the mid-Atlantic region. We are seeking a District Services Coordinator to join the staff at our Rockville, MD location. District Service Coordinators roles and responsibilities range from budget analysis through construction coordination. The tasks performed by this individual include: Budgeting, scheduling, field site inspection, coordination with developers or other utilities, material acquisition, document management, cost analysis, validation of work procedures or methods and administrative functions related to work performed by a district resources assigned to the Supervisors of Field Services and Supervisor of District Resources. Primary job roles include providing a daily and weekly crew assignment schedule, forecasting of equipment and resource needs necessary to meet the demands of customers, construction projects and maintenance projects. The DSC provides information to supervisors and their subordinates by coordinating and scheduling district resources to meet project-in-service dates, monitoring budget reports, tracking goals, and assisting with specifications for work methods and other documentation. This position reports to Distribution Supervisor and General Supervisor / Manager District Resources. Required: Experience demonstrating skill communicating technical details, processes, and/or procedures concisely and accurately. Experience demonstrating skill assisting in the coordination and direction of resource management efforts. Experience demonstrating skill performing administrative tasks to include processing work orders, maintaining numerous files and records, and talking with customers. Experience demonstrating skill initiating, supporting, and fostering work processes designed to provide quality customer service. Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software. Ability and willingness to travel to various company locations and work sites in various weather conditions. Ability and willingness to work under stressful conditions (e.g. multiple and changing work demands, daily customer interactions). Ability and willingness to work non-standard work hours and on call on an emergency basis. Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment as required by Federal, State, Local, and PHI regulations. Ability and willingness to participate in District work progress and planning meetings. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test. Preferred: Familiarity with Transmission & Distribution construction and safety practices. Familiarity with union agreements. Experience demonstrating skill reviewing, coordinating, and scheduling resources for daily work assignments. Experience demonstrating skill assisting in the coordination and direction of emergency restoration efforts. Experience demonstrating skill using work management information systems (WMIS) software. Experience demonstrating skill using computer-based SAP, SAP/PM, Advantex, OMS/SPL, C3 and GIS/GWD systems. Experience demonstrating skill preparing and monitoring reports to track productivity, training, material requirements, and budget costs. Experience demonstrating skill assisting with variance reporting and/or other management reporting requirements.
